Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally ACA qualified with a strong technical grounding.

You may have started your career in audit before moving through Financial Control / Group Finance, and then into Commercial Finance, FP&A or broader Finance Director roles.

You'll still understand the detail. Controls, reporting, cash and governance won't scare you.

But today, your real strengths are commercial finance, leadership and getting things done.

We need someone who is commercial, naturally curious, fast-paced and brilliant with people.

Someone confident challenging senior stakeholders, comfortable with change and able to quickly understand what's happening under the bonnet.

You'll already be operating at Finance Director, Commercial Finance Director or senior Head of Finance level, with the experience and confidence to hit the ground running.

Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed or listed environment would be particularly interesting.

This needs someone with energy.

Someone who can move between the numbers, the people and the commercial decisions without missing a beat.

£700 - £800 per day. 4-6 months. Reading. 3 days per week in the office.
