Interim Group Finance Director | 6 Month FTC | West Yorkshire

£110,000 – £125,000 pro rata'd + benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with our client on this Interim Finance Director role.

Our client is a privately-owned, well-established product led business. It's stable, sensibly run, and firmly focused on doing the core business well rather than chasing growth for its own sake.

Their long-standing FD is stepping back after many years in the role, and they need someone who can walk in and hold the finance function together for around six months while they run a permanent search alongside it. That doesn't mean coasting - they want the monthly close hitting its deadlines, the board properly briefed, and project and tender financials, cash flow and post-contract analysis kept firmly under control the whole way through.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • You'd be working closely with a small, capable finance team and reporting straight into ownership. The shareholders read the detail, so the numbers need to hold up under scrutiny, not just look right on the surface.

To make this work, you'll probably have a manufacturing background, ideally with real exposure to project costing, tenders or contract accounting, and you'll have operated at FD level before - group or divisional - so you can get up to speed fast without much hand-holding. It's a site-based role rather than a remote one, and the right person will see finance as something that shapes decisions, not just reports on them after the fact.
