Interim Finance Director

Location: Kent (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 months initially
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 pro rata

Are you an experienced Finance Director or senior finance leader looking for your next interim challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an accomplished Interim Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership during a key period of business transition. This is an excellent opportunity to influence decision making at board level while ensuring the finance function continues to operate effectively and supports wider business objectives.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll lead the finance function, provide robust commercial insight and oversee financial planning, reporting, governance and cashflow management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance team
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans
  • Manage cashflow, working capital and financial controls
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Support business planning and commercial decision making
  • Drive process improvements across the finance function
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks and external stakeholders
  • Lead finance through change and continuous improvement initiatives

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience
  • Previous Finance Director, Head of Finance or Financial Controller experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading and developing finance teams
  • Strong financial planning, budgeting and forecasting capability
  • Confident influencing at Executive and Board level
  • Available to commence an interim assignment at short notice (desirable)
