Interim Finance Integration Lead

6-12 Month Programme | UK-Based Hybrid Working

Drive Finance Integration Across a Major Business Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Finance Integration Lead to join a large-scale post-acquisition integration programme. This is a critical role supporting the successful integration of finance functions across multiple organisations while ensuring governance, planning, and delivery remain on track.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced finance transformation, integration professional who combines strong finance expertise with exceptional programme management capability.

The Opportunity

Sitting at the centre of a complex integration programme, you will coordinate finance workstreams, manage governance and reporting, and provide the programme leadership needed to drive delivery and maintain momentum.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to ensure integration plans are executed successfully and value creation objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead activities across a major finance integration programme.
  • Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate finance workstreams spanning Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Controls, Payroll, and Reporting.
  • Support Day 1, Day 100, and long-term integration planning and execution.
  • Manage governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Track programme delivery, risks, and issue resolution activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and decision-making sessions.
  • Ensure alignment of finance activities with broader business integration objectives.
  • Support synergy tracking and value realisation initiatives.

About You

You will have:

  • A strong finance background gained in industry, consulting, or advisory environments.
  • Experience delivering finance integrations, M&A programmes, carve-outs, or transformation initiatives.
  • Outstanding programme management expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience producing executive reporting and governance materials.
  • The ability to work effectively within fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

Highly Desirable

  • M&A Integration or post-merger implementation experience.
  • Big Four, consulting, advisory, or boutique transformation background.
  • ERP-enabled transformation experience.
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or high-growth businesses.
