Location: Central Scotland (On-site)

Contract: Interim Assignment (9-12 months anticipated)

Hours: 30-35 hours per week (flexible)

Salary: £45,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are supporting a long-established and highly recognisable Scottish leisure business in the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a multi-entity organisation that is entering a significant period of finance transformation and operational improvement. Working closely with the Fractional CFO and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the finance function, lead a small team, and help drive efficiencies through process improvement and systems development.

The business is looking for a pragmatic, resilient finance professional who enjoys bringing structure, modernisation and positive change to an evolving environment.

The Role

As Interim Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day finance operation across multiple entities while leading a programme of change focused on improving efficiency, strengthening controls and reducing manual processes.

Reporting into an experienced Fractional CFO, you will initially receive significant support and guidance before gradually taking full ownership of responsibilities, allowing the CFO to reduce their operational involvement over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day finance function across multiple trading entities
  • Manage and develop a team of three finance staff
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Oversee cash flow management, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function
  • Continue the modernisation of systems and finance processes
  • Utilise finance systems to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads
  • Support ongoing development and optimisation of Xero and related systems
  • Improve reporting processes and internal financial controls
  • Work closely with operational managers and senior stakeholders across the business
  • Provide financial insight and support decision-making activities
  • Oversee purchasing controls and processes
  • Support payroll-related improvements and system integration activities where required
  • Partner with the Fractional CFO to deliver key transformation objectives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
