Interim Finance Manager
Leicester | £45,000 | 3-Month FTC with Potential to Go Permanent | Immediate Start
We are delighted to be working with on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of processing the financial accounts, manage the accuracy of systems and uphold financial controls within a growing organisation.
This is a hands-on role combining financial accounting, transactional finance, team management and process improvement, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure an efficient, well-controlled and high-quality finance function.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager
- Assist in leading day-to-day finance operations, systems and financial controls
- Manage transactional finance including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations and VAT
- Oversee month-end processes, financial accounting and reporting
- Manage, support and develop finance staff
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance
- Drive process improvements, automation and efficiencies
- Lead the administration and development of finance systems
- Support internal and external audits
- Provide financial advice and support to budget holders and senior stakeholders

About You
- Strong experience across financial and operational accounting
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance
- Strong transactional finance knowledge and hands-on approach
- Previous experience managing and developing a finance team
- Experience improving finance processes and systems
- Strong Excel and finance systems capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable driving change
