Interim Finance Manager
📍 Newcastle upon Tyne | Hybrid Working 💷 £50,000-£60,000 FTC or £350 per day 📅 6-Month Contract
Are you a hands-on finance professional who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and control to finance functions?
We're working with a well-established not-for-profit organisation in Newcastle seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support a key finance improvement project over the next six months.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, improve reporting, and enhance core finance processes.
The Role
You'll lead a number of finance improvement initiatives, including:
- Reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Identifying and resolving historic balance sheet issues
- Improving debtor management and debt collection processes
- Strengthening financial reporting and management information
- Reviewing costing methodologies.
- Enhancing financial controls and documentation
- Supporting wider finance transformation and process improvement activity

About You
We're looking for someone who can quickly assess issues, build credibility with stakeholders, and deliver practical solutions.
You'll ideally have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accountant, or project accounting role
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and control experience
- Experience improving debtor management and cash collection processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and deliver results in a changing environment
