Interim Finance Officer | Globally Renowned Music Agency | 12 Months | Outside IR35

Harmonic are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an award-winning international classical music and artist management agency, in the search for a Finance Officer to join their close-knit finance team on an interim, maternity cover basis. This role, sitting Outside IR35, is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional to play a hands-on role within a globally respected arts organisation.

The Business

Our client is a globally renowned classical music and artist management agency with a heritage spanning over four decades. Offering strategic, personalised management to more than 140 world-class and emerging artists, alongside internationally acclaimed orchestras and ensembles, they are celebrated for creating new and innovative projects around the world.

With a highly experienced team of over 40 people based across London, Berlin and New York, the business continues to explore what it means to bring classical music to life in the 21st century. Their work is driven by a clear set of values: integrity, support, dynamism and innovation – and they pride themselves on a collaborative, arts-focused culture where a genuine affinity for classical music and the arts is truly valued.

The Role

Working within a small, collaborative finance team and reporting into the senior finance leadership, the Finance Officer will provide vital cover across the day-to-day finance function during a period of maternity leave. The role blends internal finance responsibilities with regular external contact, working closely with the agency’s artists, promoters and suppliers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
