Lead the Design of a Future-State Finance Organisation
We are supporting a major finance transformation and carve-out programme for a large UK-headquartered technology and financial services organisation with revenues exceeding £1bn. As part of a significant business separation initiative, we are seeking an experienced Finance Target Operating Model (TOM) Design Lead to shape and define the future-state finance function.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced transformation professional who thrives in complex environments and has a track record of delivering operating model design within large-scale finance transformation, carve-out, or separation programmes.
The Opportunity
Working closely with Finance leadership and programme stakeholders, you will lead the blueprint and design phases of the finance transformation, creating a clear vision for the future-state organisation, governance model, service delivery framework, and operating structure.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the finance function is prepared for TSA exit and positioned to operate effectively as a standalone organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of the Finance Target Operating Model across all finance disciplines.
- Assess current-state operating models, structures and processes.
- Facilitate workshops with senior finance and programme stakeholders.
- Define future-state organisation structures, roles, responsibilities and governance frameworks.
- Design finance operating processes, controls and decision-making models.
- Support carve-out planning and TSA exit readiness activities.
- Develop design documentation, roadmap deliverables and implementation plans.
- Advise on retained organisation structures, shared services and outsourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with wider transformation workstreams to ensure alignment across the separation programme.

About You
You are likely to bring:
- Significant experience designing Finance Target Operating Models within complex organisations.
- Demonstrable experience across carve-outs, business separations, integrations, or TSA exits.
- A consulting, advisory, Big Four, or finance transformation background.
- Strong knowledge across core finance functions including Controllership, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Reporting and Finance Operations.
- Experience engaging and influencing CFO-level stakeholders.
- Strong workshop facilitation, organisational design and stakeholder management capability.
Highly Desirable
- Financial services, fintech, software or technology sector experience.
- Shared Services or Global Business Services expertise.
- Large-scale finance transformation and organisational redesign experience.
