Interim Finance Transformation Consultant
Interim Contract
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Consultant to support a strategic finance change programme. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the migration of legacy finance systems to SAGE Intacct whilst also supporting corporate restructuring and legal entity simplification activities.
This is a hands-on delivery role requiring somebody capable of operating across finance, systems, process and governance workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support migration activities from legacy finance systems into SAGE Intacct
- Assess and improve existing finance processes, controls and reporting structures
- Coordinate finance, technology and external stakeholder activity throughout the implementation
- Support data cleansing, validation and migration activities
- Assist with testing, cutover planning and post-implementation stabilisation
- Drive adoption of new finance processes and ways of working
- Support legal entity restructuring and entity hive-up activities
- Assist with intercompany, statutory and governance considerations arising from structural changes
- Identify risks, dependencies and implementation challenges
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to the CFO and wider leadership team

Required Experience
- Proven track record delivering finance transformation programmes
- Experience implementing or migrating ERP/finance systems
- Experience with SAGE Intacct would be highly desirable
- Strong understanding of finance operations, controls and reporting processes
- Experience of data migration, process redesign and systems integration
- Ability to engage effectively with finance, IT and executive stakeholders
- Experience operating within SME or mid-market environments

Desirable Experience
- Legal entity simplification, entity rationalisation or hive-up projects
- M&A integration, carve-out or corporate restructuring programmes
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a project leadership, programme management or transformation capacity

- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Able to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Excellent communication and problem-solving capability
Contract Details
- Interim engagement
- Flexible working arrangements available
- Full-time or 2-3 days per week considered
- Immediate requirement
- Competitive day rate/salary dependent on experience
