For Lenders

Finova offers a flexible, modular technology suite designed to help lenders move faster, scale efficiently and deliver standout digital experiences.

Financial Institutions use Finova to launch products faster, process applications up to 50% more efficiently and reduce operational costs — all while staying fully compliant in a fast-moving market.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a 12 month FTC role created to redesign and embed the core operational processes that keep finance running – starting with accounts receivable, then accounts payable and month-end close.

Finova has grown quickly, and our finance processes need to catch up with the scale and complexity of the business. We have strong systems in place – NetSuite, HubSpot, Kantata and Pivot – but they are not yet working as hard for us as they could, and too much still depends on manual effort and individual knowledge stemming from fragmented processes and data quality issues.

This is a hands-on role, not an advisory one. You will be expected to step into the processes and run them yourself while you redesign them and work with other areas of the business to clean the data inputs, then train and coach the permanent team to take them on. Success is measured not by what you recommend, but by what is still working three months after you leave.

We take continuous improvement seriously. Everyone in finance has access to Claude and Gemini, and we actively encourage using them to take the grind out of the work. We also run Finance Labs: two to three hours of protected time every week, dedicated to improving our own processes rather than just running them.

About you:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience delivering finance change and transformation – ideally in a fast-growing SME, tech or SaaS environment.
  • A genuine doer. You are as comfortable clearing an AR ledger or running a close yourself as you are designing the process that replaces it. This role will involve rolling up your sleeves, and we are explicit about that.
  • Systems capable, not just systems literate. You have configured a finance system rather than only used one – building workflows, automations and reporting – and have taken at least one finance system implementation or migration live end to end. NetSuite experience is a strong advantage.
  • Data-driven mindset. You are naturally analytical and curious about data, with a strong desire to understand the underlying dataflows to drive process improvement and smarter decision-making.
  • Practical with AI. You can give worked examples of using AI tools to take real work out of a finance function – reconciliations, GL coding, query handling, reporting – and quantify what it saved.
  • Stakeholder influence beyond finance. Much of what needs to change sits with Sales, Delivery and Operations. You can build the relationships and make the case that gets other teams to change how they work, without formal authority over them.
  • A coach and enabler. You enjoy building capability in others, and you can support hiring, training and upskilling so the team is ready to own the new ways of working.
  • Curious by default. You ask why a process exists before you optimise it, and you are drawn to problems rather than away from them.
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets and data manipulation skills as a baseline, for the periods where the systems are not yet doing the work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What will you be doing?

  • Redesign and streamline core finance processes, beginning with accounts receivable – billing accuracy, collections and credit control – then accounts payable and the month-end close and reconciliation cycle.
  • Run the processes as you improve them. Step in to perform the work directly where needed, so that improvements are grounded in how things actually operate rather than how they are documented.
  • Get the systems doing the work. Move manual and offline steps into NetSuite and our wider stack (HubSpot, Kantata, Pivot), reducing spreadsheet dependency and reliance on individual knowledge.
  • Shorten and stabilise the month-end close, improving both the timetable and the reliability of what comes out of it.
  • Build the team that inherits the work. Support recruitment for permanent roles, and coach and train team members so they can confidently own the new processes. (This role has no direct reports.)
  • Document, hand over and embed. Every in-scope process should finish the contract documented, operating and owned by a named member of the permanent team.
  • Work across the business to make change stick, partnering with teams outside finance whose ways of working affect finance outcomes, and influencing them to adopt new processes.
  • Apply AI and automation pragmatically wherever it removes low-value effort, and share what works with the wider finance team.
