Interim Financial Accountant - Financial Services (6 month contract - temp to perm available)

Location: London or Dubai

Type: Interim / Contract

Miryco Consultants is working with a global financial services business that is looking for an Interim Financial Accountant to join their team in either London or Dubai.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant to join a fast-paced, international financial services environment and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, accounting and the wider finance function.

The role would particularly suit someone who is ACA or ACCA qualified, has 1–4 years' post-qualified experience and has gained experience within financial services.

The Role

Working as part of the finance team, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial reconciliations.
  • Supporting statutory reporting and audit processes.
  • Investigating accounting issues and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Working with stakeholders across the wider business to resolve financial and accounting queries.
  • Supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Providing high-quality financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are maintained.

About You

We are ideally looking for:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified candidates.
  • Newly qualified through to 1–4 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Previous experience within financial services is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across a business.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Immediate availability or a short notice period would be strongly preferred.
