Interim Financial Accountant
Location: Hertfordshire, office based
Rate: £350-400 per day inside IR35
Start: Immediate
Duration: 3-6 months
We're partnering with a well-established business seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to provide immediate support during a busy period of change and growth. This is a hands-on role requiring a technically strong qualified accountant who can quickly integrate into the finance team and add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Support year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Review and improve financial processes and controls
- Support ad hoc projects across the wider finance function

Candidate Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong financial accounting and reporting background
- Previous interim or contract experience preferred
- Experience working within complex or fast-paced environments
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
