Interim Financial Accountant – PE-Backed Consultancy

We’re working exclusively with a fast-growing, PE-backed consultancy with revenues of around £20m, who are looking to bring an experienced Financial Accountant into the team on an initial 6-month interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a growing Finance function at an exciting stage of its development. You’ll take ownership of key financial accounting responsibilities, work closely with senior Finance stakeholders and gain exposure to a PE-backed environment.

The Role

You’ll play a key role across the core financial accounting function, with responsibilities including:

  • Owning the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting the production of monthly management and financial reporting.
  • Investigating variances and ensuring the integrity of the underlying financial data.
  • Supporting statutory accounts, audit and year-end processes.
  • Managing intercompany accounting and reconciliations across the group.
  • Working closely with the wider Finance team on controls, processes and reporting improvements.
  • Supporting ad hoc financial analysis and projects as the business continues to scale.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
