An established international real estate investment business is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support its UK finance function during a period of growth and transformation.
With new investments recently added to its UK portfolio and a wider European finance transformation programme underway, this is an opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its development. The successful Interim Financial Controller will play a key role in maintaining business continuity, embedding new processes and supporting the next phase of the organisation's operating model.

The role
The Interim Financial Controller will support both day-to-day financial operations and wider transformation initiatives across the UK business.
This role will suit someone who enjoys operating in an evolving environment and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing financial reporting activities across multiple UK entities.
- Supporting treasury, cash flow and liquidity management.
- Overseeing accounting, reporting and financial control processes.
- Coordinating UK tax compliance activities, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities.
- Managing relationships with external accounting firms, tax advisers and service providers.
- Reviewing and improving finance, reporting and procure-to-pay processes.
- Supporting finance transformation, process standardisation and automation projects.
- Producing financial reports and management information for internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with UK and European colleagues on new investments and business initiatives.
- Helping establish scalable finance processes as the UK platform continues to grow.

The skills you'll bring
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting and UK tax.
- Experience within real estate, property investment, asset management or another complex corporate environment.
- Experience supporting finance transformation, change programmes or operating model improvements.
- Working knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing external advisers and outsourced service providers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence working across international teams and multiple jurisdictions.
