Company:
A high-growth, private equity-backed technology business is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support its European finance function on an initial 3-6 month contract. Operating across multiple international markets, this is a broad and commercially focused role where you'll take ownership of financial control, reporting and business partnering, while driving process improvements across a fast-paced and evolving finance function.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, supporting international operations and enhancing finance processes to support continued growth.
Responsibilities:
As the Interim Financial Controller, you will be:
- Owning the month-end close and management reporting across multiple European entities
- Producing accurate financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Partnering with senior operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and analysis
- Managing and developing a small international finance team to ensure high-quality financial delivery
- Supporting tax, VAT and statutory reporting requirements in conjunction with external advisers
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting capabilities
- Leading systems and reporting improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability across the finance function
- Supporting senior leadership with ad hoc commercial and financial analysis to aid business decision-making

Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified
- Able to demonstrate strong financial control and month-end reporting experience within a multi-entity environment
- Technically strong with excellent financial accounting knowledge and advanced Excel capability
- Experienced working with ERP systems and comfortable improving finance processes and reporting
- A proactive, hands-on finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Previous experience within a private equity-backed or rapidly scaling business would be advantageous
