To cover for maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity for an in-house Interim Financial Controller to join our Finance Team for a fixed period up to one year.
What we are looking for:
Joining the Finance Team as the Interim Financial Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the financial systems of the Atcore company, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insights to senior management. You will be instrumental in managing monthly reporting, consolidation of Group results, Audits and Statutory accounts, Payroll, Treasury, Customer profitability and R&D projects, as well as leading the finance team.

Monthly Reporting and Control Cycle:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate production of the monthly financial reporting cycle, ensuring all control and reporting responsibilities are met. This includes:
- Consolidation of the results.
- Preparation and review of the monthly management pack.
- Review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Full variance analysis of actuals to budget.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Oversee the annual budget cycle, ensuring it is aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Manage any reforecasting activities and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage all members of the Finance Team, ensuring optimal performance and development.
- Oversee relationships with outsourced service providers to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance with external requirements.
Other duties:
- Payment of suppliers.
- Supervise processing staff expenses.
- Manage payroll.
- Oversee client invoicing and cashflow management.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate competence and experience in the following:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within an IT or technology-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Excellent financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Proven track record of handling confidential information.
