Interim Financial Controller - 6 months - ACA Qualified - Online Travel/Ecommerce
Location: Holborn, London

We’re working with a growing online travel business looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team at an exciting time, with year-end approaching and the current Controller due to leave at the beginning of October.
This is a hands-on role combining financial reporting, statutory reporting, operational finance and process improvement. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the finance function runs effectively while also supporting and guiding the wider operational team.
About the role
You’ll take ownership of a broad range of finance responsibilities, including:
- Leading the finance function through the upcoming year-end
- Preparing and overseeing financial and statutory reporting
- Supporting management and statistical reporting
- Working closely with the operational team and providing financial guidance
- Reviewing and improving existing finance processes and controls
- Helping to streamline processes across a high-volume, low-value transaction environment
- Providing guidance and support to the wider team
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business

About you
We’re looking for a qualified or qualified-by-experience finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical, commercial approach.
Ideally, you will have:
- An ACA qualification, although ACCA or relevant experience will also be considered
- A background in Big 6 audit would be highly desirable
- Experience within B2C, travel, e-commerce or another high-volume transactional environment
- Experience working with high volumes of relatively low-value transactions
- Strong financial and statutory reporting experience
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Experience improving processes and financial controls
- The confidence to work with and guide operational teams
- A hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to work independently
