Financial Controller

Hybrid – 2 days per week in a Central London office

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the day-to-day finance function, reporting directly to the CFO.

You’ll take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance while developing the systems, processes and team required to support continued growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role with significant commercial exposure. Alongside maintaining a high-quality finance operation, you’ll provide senior leadership with clear financial insight and partner with teams across the business to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Control – Own accurate and timely monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and financial controls.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, providing insight into business performance and future planning.
  • Systems & Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve, automate and streamline finance processes, while leading finance systems enhancements and implementations.
  • Team Leadership – Manage, support and develop a Finance Manager, establishing high standards and accountability.
  • Business Partnering – Work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations and other functions to translate financial data into actionable commercial insight.
  • Compliance & Audit – Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements and manage the external audit process.

Reporting Line

You’ll report directly to the CFO, acting as a trusted partner in shaping and strengthening the finance function as the business continues to scale.

The role offers significant ownership and autonomy, with the opportunity to challenge existing processes, introduce improvements and influence decision-making across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
