Interim Financial Controller
This post is offered on a 6-month interim basis, working 37.5 hours per week. Our full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week, worked 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Client Details
Local respected charity providing specialist hospice care alongside statutory service partners (GPs, District nursing etc) across West Sussex and East Surrey.
Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for building strong relationships, providing robust and accurate financial forecasting and budgeting data with appropriate analysis to support the Finance Director, Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees in decision making processes and assurance of future sustainability.
The Interim Financial Controller role will bring:
- Managing and developing the Finance Team delivering a first-class service to all stakeholders
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders
- Supporting the Director of Finance & IT in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis as required
- Responsible for the production of accurate and timely management accounts and cashflow

Profile
A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Experience in financial reporting and budget management.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and internal controls.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to work effectively within the not-for-profit sector.
Job Offer
- Salary between £60,000 and £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Fixed-term contract with competitive benefits.
