Interim Financial Controller
Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Per Week in Office)
Rate: £600–£700 per day

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a private equity-backed SaaS business to appoint an Interim Financial Controller during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This is a high-impact role within a fast-scaling technology company, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and investors. The successful candidate will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and scalable processes to support the business's ambitious growth plans.
The role is ideally suited to an experienced Financial Controller who has operated within a private equity-backed, high-growth technology or SaaS environment and is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and investors.
- Managing and developing the day-to-day finance function.
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, and working capital controls.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Preparing board packs, investor reporting, and management information.
- Strengthening financial controls, governance frameworks, and accounting processes.
- Supporting the annual audit process and managing relationships with external auditors.
- Driving finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.
- Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to support strategic decision-making.
- Assisting with M&A activity, integration projects, and other ad hoc strategic initiatives as required.

About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a high-growth business.
- Previous experience within SaaS, technology, software, or recurring revenue environments.
- Experience working in a private equity-backed organisation.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Experience managing audits and maintaining robust financial controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
- Strong systems knowledge and experience improving finance processes and controls.
- The ability to quickly assess challenges and deliver practical solutions in an interim capacity.
