Finatal is partnering with a rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Controller to strengthen its finance function during a key period of growth.
Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the financial control environment, reporting processes, and month-end function. The successful candidate will be technically strong, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced PE environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts.
- Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Manage and develop the financial reporting process.
- Support group consolidation and reporting.
- Improve finance processes, controls, and systems.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Support the CFO with PE reporting and board materials.
- Drive continuous improvement across the finance function.
- Support wider transformation and M&A projects where required.

Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
- Experience working within a PE-backed or high-growth business.
- Experience managing finance teams and improving processes.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and month-end reporting.
- Excellent Excel and ERP systems experience.
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Able to operate strategically whilst remaining hands-on.
