Interim Financial Controller / Senior Manager – Accounting

c6-Month Contract

c£110K basic or day rate equivalent

Central London 3-4 days in the office

A market-leading, multi-billion-dollar global technology solutions and services provider is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join on a 6-month contract, covering EMEA and APAC accounting operations during a period of team transition.

This is a hands-on, roll-up-sleeves role. You'll step into an established finance function, get up to speed quickly, and help the team get back to steady state while also clearing a backlog of project work that's been on hold. No direct reports; you'll work alongside existing team managers rather than manage them.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning day-to-day accounting activities: general ledger oversight, reconciliations, accruals, and subledger integrity
  • Managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close: including input, validation, and review of journals and schedules
  • Supporting audit readiness and statutory/regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions: liaising directly with external auditors
  • Managing VAT, corporate tax, and transfer pricing compliance activity across EMEA and APAC
  • Supporting acquisition accounting and integration work: harmonising charts of accounts, standardising post-acquisition reporting
  • Applying technical accounting standards (leases, revenue recognition, consolidation) as a subject-matter resource for the wider team
  • Contributing to CFO-level reporting packs, dashboards, and KPIs

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
