Interim Financial Controller Opportunity

A high-growth, VC-backed subscription business is scaling internationally and looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join for six months.

  • Run the monthly close and statutory reporting
  • Own audit, tax, cash and working capital
  • Build the controls that keep finance reliable as the business scales
  • Turn the numbers into decisions the Board actually acts on

Day to Day

  • Deliver monthly management accounts and the Board narrative
  • Build forecasting models for retention, revenue, costs and cash
  • Get close to churn and reactivation trends, not just report them
  • Own FRS 102 statutory accounts and the audit relationship
  • Handle VAT and international tax as new markets come online
  • Manage an AP direct report and sharpen AP controls

Qualifications

You should be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience in financial control, ideally gained in DTC, subscription or scale-up environments. Strong technical grounding in UK GAAP/IFRS, genuine modelling ability, and real enthusiasm for working with AI tools day to day.
