Interim Financial Controller | 6 Months (initial) | Day Rate | London (Hybrid ~2 days on-site)
A high-growth, profitable DTC / e-commerce consumer business is looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead its finance function on a 6-month initial engagement, reporting directly to the CFO.
This is a hands-on leadership role with strong commercial exposure. You'll own financial reporting and controls while helping build the systems, processes and team to support the next phase of the company's growth — and partner with senior stakeholders to turn financial data into commercial insight.

What you'll own:
- Monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and financial controls
- Annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Finance systems and process improvement / automation
- Managing and developing a Finance Manager
- Business partnering across Sales, Marketing and Operations
- Compliance with accounting standards and the external audit process

What we're looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA preferred; ACCA / CIMA considered) with significant PQE
- Proven Financial Controller (or comparable senior finance) experience in an SME, scale-up or fast-paced business
- Strong technical grounding in UK GAAP and/or IFRS, controls and reporting
- Experience in a business of similar scale (c.£100m+ turnover ideal)
- Consumer / e-commerce / DTC / retail background highly desirable
- Systems-oriented — ERP implementation/improvement experience valued (NetSuite a strong advantage)
- Advanced Excel and the commercial nous to turn numbers into decisions
- A confident communicator and hands-on operator comfortable in a high-velocity environment
