Interim Financial Controller
Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Day Rate: £800-£1000 Outside IR35
Reference: AF2308
A private equity-backed infrastructure business with revenues of c.£500m is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the finance function through an exciting period of growth, acquisition activity, and transformation.
Working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team, you'll take ownership of financial control, reporting, and integration activities across a multi-entity environment while helping the business scale as it executes its buy-and-build strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Own group consolidation and ensure robust financial controls across the business.
- Support acquisition accounting, due diligence, and post-deal integration activities.
- Drive improvements across financial processes, systems, and reporting.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
- Manage audit processes and support lender, investor, and board reporting requirements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven Financial Controller experience within a complex, multi-site environment.
- Prior exposure to private equity-backed businesses.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs, or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong technical accounting, controls, and consolidation expertise.
- Hands-on, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
