We are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a West Midlands-based business for an initial six-month assignment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can come into a business, quickly understand what is working, and what isn’t, and bring greater control, structure and visibility to the finance function.
You will work closely with the senior leadership team and take ownership of the day-to-day financial control environment, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and overall finance effectiveness.

The brief will include:
- Taking ownership of financial control, reporting and month-end
- Improving the quality, accuracy and timeliness of management information
- Strengthening controls, processes and financial disciplines
- Identifying and delivering improvements across the finance function
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash management
- Providing meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Getting involved in wider projects and business improvement initiatives

We are looking for a qualified accountant with a strong Financial Controller background and, ideally, a track record of delivering successfully within interim assignments.
You will need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up, getting into the detail and delivering at pace.
