🚨 Interim Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant 🚨
📍 Bristol - 3 days required on site/ 2 days from home
💰 £65,000 - £80,000 6-month FTC
📅 September/October start | 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
Hays are currently recruiting for an urgent Interim Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant opportunity with a well-established manufacturing business in the South West. With the current post-holder leaving in October, there is an opportunity to start ASAP, complete a handover throughout September, and then take full ownership of the role.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of month-end processes and management accounts
- Leading and developing an operational finance team of 6-7 staff
- Oversight of transactional finance, ensuring strong controls and performance across the team
- Financial reporting, controls and balance sheet management
- Supporting business decision-making through robust financial analysis and insight
- Working within a circa £70-80m turnover manufacturing environment

We're looking for:
✅ Experienced Financial Controller, Senior Management Accountant or Finance Manager ✅ Strong management accounting and financial control background ✅ Previous experience leading finance teams ✅ Manufacturing or FMCG experience would be highly advantageous. ✅ Hands-on approach with excellent stakeholder management skills ✅ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial.
