Interim Financial Controller | PE-Backed Manufacturing | Outside IR35
Location: Midlands / Hybrid
Day Rate: £500–£650 per day
Duration: 6 months initially
Start: ASAP

We are supporting a private equity-backed manufacturing group seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to take ownership of the core finance function during a period of transformation.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting and the continued development of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close and management accounts process
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Manage cash flow and working capital reporting
- Improve finance processes and controls across the group
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee statutory reporting and audit requirements
- Manage and develop the existing finance team
- Provide financial insight to the FD and wider leadership team
- Support systems, process improvement and wider transformation projects

Ideal Background:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Proven Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant experience
- Strong manufacturing / engineering / industrial background
- Excellent technical accounting and financial control skills
- Experience managing a finance team
- Previous PE-backed experience advantageous
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced interim environment
