Interim Financial Modeller — 6 Month Contract (Outside IR35)

Essex-based (hybrid) | £500–£700 per day

Our client, a high-growth, PE-backed services business with a classic private-equity ownership profile, is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Modeller to lead the build of a fully integrated 3-year financial model (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to support a significant refinancing, debt raise, valuation exercise, and future M&A activity.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a modeller who can build from the ground up and work confidently with investors and external advisers.

The Role

  • Build a fully integrated 3-year financial model (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) for a large, multi-divisional services business operating across many service lines
  • Rebuild and reconcile three years of historical financial data in Excel, and produce a robust 3-year forward forecast, to underpin the model
  • Produce a model fit for purpose to support a major debt raise and refinancing process, working closely with external debt advisers and financial due diligence accountants
  • Model capital structure, covenants, and headroom to support lender and investor requirements
  • Analyse monthly working capital movements to inform cash flow forecasting and funding requirements
  • Support the leadership team in repurposing budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts processes
  • Support the M&A pipeline, building models to evaluate potential acquisitions as the business pursues significant growth
  • Work closely with the senior finance leadership and external advisers throughout

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
