Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for statutory and financial reporting, oversight of month-end close activities, management of an offshore finance team, and ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. This is a high-profile finance role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, auditors, tax teams, and group finance functions, making it ideal for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Financial Accounting and Reporting:

    • Take ownership of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and consolidated reporting activities across a regional business structure.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial information, supporting forecasting activities, managing offshore accounting resources, and coordinating external audit requirements.
  • Financial Control & Reporting:

    • Ensure accounting policies and financial controls are applied consistently across the designated business area.
    • Manage financial accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Review financial statements and management reports, providing analysis and insight to stakeholders.
    • Oversee the maintenance of general ledgers and the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
    • Manage month-end and year-end close activities.
    • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the wider finance team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
