Interim Fire Safety Advisor

3–6 Month Contract | c. £400 per day | Leeds

We are supporting a large public sector organisation with the appointment of an Interim Fire Safety Advisor to provide specialist fire safety expertise across a diverse operational estate.

Working closely with the Fire Safety Manager and Estates team, you will undertake Fire Risk Assessments, deliver fire safety training, review policies and procedures, monitor compliance actions, and provide expert advice on fire safety legislation and best practice. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders, contractors and external agencies to help embed a positive fire safety culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake Fire Risk Assessments
  • Deliver fire safety training
  • Review policies and procedures
  • Monitor compliance actions
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety legislation and best practice
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a Fire Safety Advisor or similar role within a complex operational environment
  • Recognised fire safety qualification
  • Extensive experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments
  • Experience delivering fire safety training
  • Strong working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, HTM guidance, and associated fire safety legislation
  • Strong communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills
