Role: Interim Forensic Accountant

Rate: £500-600/day (outside IR35)
Contract: 3 months initial
X4 are partnered with a leading digital bank to appoint an Interim Forensic Accountant for a specialist consulting engagement focused on reviewing complex financial activity across an international business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll analyse financial information from multiple internal and external sources, bringing together complex records to provide clear, evidence-based insight across financial activity, reporting and processes.
This is an opportunity for an experienced forensic accounting professional to apply strong financial-services expertise within a fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile complex financial information across internal systems and external records
- Analyse historical financial activity across multiple accounts, entities, institutions and jurisdictions
- Review the accounting treatment and reporting of financial assets, liabilities and transactions
- Assess reconciliation processes, documentation, authorisation frameworks and financial controls
- Produce detailed analysis, supporting schedules and clear reporting for senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven background in forensic accounting/audit, within digital banking
- Strong understanding of banking, financial markets, accounting, reconciliations and reporting
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to connect information from multiple sources
- Experience working across multiple entities, institutions and/or jurisdictions
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification

This is a fully remote, outside IR35 engagement, initially running for 3 months with scope to extend. The client is looking for someone who can start immediately, with interviews taking place from Tuesday 1st September onwards. Please apply online for immediate consideration.
