Interim FP&A / Strategic Finance Consultant – London

3–6 Month Contract | £650–£800 per day | Hybrid

NEOS Talent is supporting a leading international advisory business with an urgent requirement for an experienced FP&A / Strategic Finance professional to join its London team on an interim basis. This is a hands-on, high-visibility assignment supporting senior business leadership across the 2027 budget process, management reporting, forecasting, financial modelling and ad hoc commercial analysis.

The successful candidate will operate as an extension of the wider finance and advisory team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the UK, EMEA and US.

The role will include:

  • Supporting and driving the annual budgeting / AOP process
  • Management reporting and forecasting
  • Financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Commercial and strategic finance support
  • Working closely with senior business stakeholders to refine analysis and outputs
  • Creating and improving reporting in a relatively Excel-led environment
  • Providing ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making
  • Operating independently within a lean regional finance structure

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance experience
  • Ideally 7–12+ years’ experience, although capability is more important than title
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
  • Experience within professional services, consulting or another people-led / utilisation-based business would be highly advantageous
  • Previous interim, consulting or advisory experience would also be useful

This is not a purely heads-down modelling role. The individual will need to be comfortable working iteratively with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and adapting analysis as the business works through its planning cycle.

Location: London / Hybrid
Duration: Initial 3 months, with potential extension
Start: ASAP / within the next 1–2 weeks
Rate: Approximately £650–£800 per day, depending on experience and engagement structure
