Governance Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Governance Advisor. The role will be offered as a 12-month fixed term contract and is to start as soon as possible.

This is a hands-on role for a legal/governance professional who can update governance frameworks and documentation, and who can work collaboratively across the organisation to embed best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and refreshing governance policies, terms of reference, delegations, and associated documentation
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to identify opportunities to strengthen governance processes, decision-making, and accountability

Requirements

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Significant governance experience gained within a complex organisation, membership body, regulator, charity, or similar environment
  • A proven track record of reviewing and updating governance frameworks and documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • The ability to identify practical governance improvements and drive their implementation
