Interim Group Accountant – SaaS - Private Equity backed
6-Month Contract | UK-Based | London

We are supporting a large Private Equity SaaS business looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant to join on an initial 6-month interim basis. This is a hands-on role focused on group consolidation, technical accounting and improving the quality of the finance function, with the flexibility to work fully remotely from the UK.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up a robust working capital analytics and reporting rhythm, improving visibility across AR, AP and cash.
  • Lead an AR/AP accounting review and ledger cleanse, ensuring accurate and reliable underlying data.
  • Own IFRS 9 provision accounting, including review and remediation where required.
  • Support R&D capitalisation accounting, ensuring appropriate treatment and documentation.
  • Assist with acquisition accounting and group consolidation preparation.
  • Support the preparation of year-end group consolidated accounts and work closely with the external auditors through the group audit.
  • Provide broader technical accounting and group finance support as required.

  • ACA / ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Strong experience across group consolidation and technical accounting.
  • Previous experience within a SaaS / software environment is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with year-end group accounts and audit.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, ideally including IFRS 9 and R&D capitalisation.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in an interim environment and able to hit the ground running.
  • No language requirements.
  • UK-based candidates can work fully remotely.
