Stanton House is partnering with a private equity-backed global software business to appoint an Interim Group Finance Manager

Stanton House is partnering with a private equity-backed global software business to appoint an Interim Group Finance Manager to support a critical year-end audit and financial reporting cycle.

The business operates across multiple international markets and is currently managing a period of audit activity alongside wider finance transformation initiatives, ERP implementation and ongoing operational change. This is an opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a key delivery-focused assignment with clear objectives and senior stakeholder exposure.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, you will take ownership of the Group external audit process for a September year-end, ensuring all audit deliverables are coordinated and delivered against tight reporting deadlines.

This is a hands-on assignment requiring strong audit leadership, financial reporting expertise and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination between Group Finance, overseas finance teams, external auditors and specialist finance functions.

The initial assignment is expected to run for three months from October 2026, with potential for a short extension. The role can be performed primarily remotely, with occasional travel as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
