Interim Group Financial Controller

The Opportunity
Finatal is partnering with a fast-growing, PE-backed digital infrastructure platform on a confidential search for an Interim Group Financial Controller.
The business operates within the data centre sector and is undergoing a significant phase of expansion across Europe. Backed by a leading private equity sponsor, the company currently generates c.€250m revenue with EBITDA margins of approximately 40% and is executing an ambitious growth strategy through organic expansion, greenfield developments and acquisitions.
Following a recent carve-out and finance transformation, the business requires an experienced interim leader to bring structure, control and scalability to the finance function while supporting the search for a permanent appointment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the group financial control function across multiple European entities
- Strengthen financial reporting, consolidation and month-end processes
- Build greater rigour, governance and controls across the finance organisation
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
- Partner closely with the CFO and wider leadership team in a highly distributed international environment
- Improve ERP utilisation and finance processes across the group
- Support financing, audit and lender reporting requirements
- Develop reporting frameworks suitable for a high-growth PE-backed environment
- Provide mentorship and leadership to a geographically dispersed finance team

Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess:
- Previous Group Financial Controller or Head of Financial Control experience
- Experience operating within PE-backed, leveraged or high-growth businesses
- Strong financial consolidation and multi-country reporting experience
- Data centre, digital infrastructure, telecoms, technology infrastructure or broader infrastructure experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments undergoing change
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with remote leadership teams
- Excellent English language skills
