Interim Group Financial Controller | PE-Backed Business Services
£600-£700 per day | London (Hybrid) | 6 months initially | ASAP (two weeks notice max)
We are looking to speak with immediately available Group Financial Controllers for an upcoming interim requirement within a PE-backed, acquisitive business services group.
The business is continuing to scale through a combination of organic growth and M&A, creating a need for an experienced interim who can strengthen the financial control environment while remaining very hands-on with delivery.

Key responsibilities:
- Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close across multiple entities
- Lead group consolidations and ensure accurate, timely reporting
- Support year-end audit and statutory reporting
- Improve balance sheet controls, reconciliations and financial processes
- Integrate newly acquired businesses into group reporting processes
- Support the CFO with board, lender and investor reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing finance processes
- Provide leadership to a lean finance team whilst remaining hands-on

Experience required:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA required
- Strong Financial Controller / Group Financial Controller experience
- Previous PE-backed or highly acquisitive business experience
- Comfortable operating across multiple entities
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience supporting integrations following acquisitions would be advantageous
- Able to join a fast-moving business and operate with limited hand-holding
