This is an exciting opportunity to join an iconic Sports company as their Interim Group Financial Controller. It requires a qualified accountant with a minimum of 8 years post qualified (likely to be more) with previous experience in group controller role, managing teams of at least 5.

About the Role

The Group Financial Controller will report directly into the CFO and will lead all core finance for the company.
- Lead the Finance team of 12 people, promoting strong performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Take full responsibility for the Group’s financial reporting, including monthly management reporting, statutory financial statements, and consolidated accounts.
- Manage the external audit process and deliver all statutory and regulatory reports within required deadlines.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as growth initiatives, investment evaluations, and mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration where relevant.
- Take ownership of the ERP system maintaining data accuracy, streamlining processes, and delivering high-quality financial insights.
