Interim Group Financial Controller

Location: London (hybrid, 2 days in)
Reporting to: Finance Director
Start: ASAP (2 weeks notice max)
Day Rate: £500-£550/day

We are supporting a PE backed, multi-entity, tech-enabled business that is looking for an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to bridge the gap while they recruit permanently.

The role will work closely with the Finance Director and take immediate ownership of the core financial control and reporting agenda as the business moves into a more sophisticated investor-backed environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the Group month-end close and financial reporting process
  • Lead Group consolidations and maintain strong balance sheet controls
  • Take ownership of bank covenant and lender reporting
  • Lead Group cash flow forecasting and liquidity reporting
  • Own the annual audit and act as the key contact for external auditors
  • Oversee statutory reporting and financial controls
  • Support improvements across reporting processes and controls
  • Provide leadership to the wider financial reporting team
  • Work closely with FP&A and the Finance Director on investor and management reporting

Candidate profile

  • Ideally ACA or equivalent, will consider ACCA
  • Strong Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller experience
  • Hands-on Group reporting and consolidation experience
  • Experience owning an external audit
  • Strong cash flow forecasting experience
  • Exposure to debt, lender or covenant reporting
  • Comfortable operating across a multi-entity business
  • Able to step into a senior finance role quickly and operate with minimal support
