Interim Group FP&A Director
£75m PE-Backed Manufacturing Business
Location: Midlands, UK
Day Rate: £700–£900 per day
Duration: 6 months initially
The Opportunity
We are working with a £75m turnover, private equity-backed manufacturing business headquartered in the Midlands to appoint an exceptional Interim Group FP&A Director.
The business operates across the UK and Europe and is at an important stage of its investment journey. With an ambitious value creation plan underway, the CFO is looking to strengthen the quality of FP&A, increase visibility over operational performance and bring greater commercial rigour to decision-making across the group.
The brief is not simply to run the existing FP&A process. The successful interim will be expected to upgrade it — creating better insight, sharper forecasting and a much clearer understanding of the operational drivers of EBITDA, cash and value creation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
