Interim Group Tax Manager
PE-backed Fintech
Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 month contract
Pearse Portfolio are supporting a leading private equity backed FinTech company. This is a newly created position across the Group, they are looking for someone to lead and implement a function. The work has a broad and commercial scope, you will design the tax function as you run it.
What you will own
- Group VAT: Submit and review group VAT return, and own VAT data quality across the group's finance systems
- Corporate tax compliance life cycle
- Take ownership of the group's open post-completion tax action list
- Implement tax processes and controls and reduce manual effort in tax data preparation and reporting
- Support tax due diligence review and structuring input on future acquisitions

Key Requirements
- Both UK VAT experience and UK corporation tax experience
- Review and prepare - there will be no team beneath you
- Ability to explain tax to non-experts, and communicate effectively with advisors, auditors, and HMRC
- Comfortable in an environment where systems and data are still being consolidated

Preferred
- CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA considered)
- PE experience
- Exposure to tax due diligence
- Experience in system/tax technology implementation
