Interim Head of Consolidation & Reporting
Manchester (preferred) | Hybrid Working £80,000 - £95,000 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
A UK-listed business is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Consolidation & Reporting to join its Group Finance function during a period of significant strategic change and corporate activity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance leader to take ownership of group consolidation and reporting while managing and developing a high-performing team.
Reporting into the Global Head of Reporting, you'll play a key role in supporting the business through a major carve-out and wider transaction programme, whilst ensuring robust month-end reporting and consolidation processes continue seamlessly.
In this high-visibility leadership position, you will manage, coach, and mentor a team of Group Financial Accountants based in Manchester. You will take full ownership of the Group consolidation process via Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS), ensure complex acquisitions, disposals, and one-off corporate transactions are accurately accounted for, and manage global subsidiary relationships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
