Location: London (Hybrid Working) Contract: Interim Day Rate: £600 - £700 per day
The Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of consumer financial services products, operating within a highly competitive and fast-paced market. They are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Customer Engagement to join their marketing team and drive the planning and delivery of customer engagement strategies across the customer lifecycle.
This is a key role focused on developing and executing omnichannel engagement programmes that improve customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, and lifetime value. Working across a broad range of channels, including CRM, content, events, digital, and paid media, you will create personalised customer experiences that deliver measurable commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver omnichannel customer engagement strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Lead customer segmentation, targeting, and personalisation initiatives to improve engagement and campaign performance.
- Create and manage customer communication plans across email, direct marketing, digital, content, events, and paid media channels.
- Work closely with marketing, data, digital, product, and commercial teams to develop integrated customer journeys.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, retention, cross-sell, and loyalty performance.
- Utilise customer insights and campaign analytics to optimise engagement activity and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholder groups to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and achieve business objectives.
- Ensure all customer communications meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

About You
We're looking for an experienced customer engagement professional who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience in customer engagement, CRM, lifecycle marketing, and customer communications planning.
- A proven track record of delivering successful omnichannel engagement programmes.
- Experience gained either agency-side or client-side within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalisation, customer journey mapping, and campaign optimisation.
- Experience working across multiple channels, including CRM, digital, content, events, social, and paid media.
- Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills.
- A data-driven approach with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Experience within financial services would be highly advantageous.
- Experience working within a regulated industry is strongly preferred.
