Interim Head of DLT Engineering - Digital Assets - Fintech Bank

Central London | Up to £1,000 per day

We’re supporting a Fintech Bank in appointing a senior engineering leader with a track record of building regulated payments, settlement, FX, AML or digital asset infrastructure at scale.

This mandate suits someone who combines architectural depth with hands-on delivery leadership and experience bringing multiple partners, platforms, and payment rails together.

  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience across payments, banking, and digital assets.
  • Experience leading teams delivering settlement, reconciliation, AML or FX platforms.
  • Ownership of API-first, event-driven architectures spanning multiple payment rails.
  • Delivery of complex integrations with AML providers, payment service providers, FX desks and treasury platforms.
  • A strong track record operating within regulated financial services environments.

You must have extensive experience in regulated fintechs, payment networks, or banks building digital asset infrastructure. Experience beyond standalone wallet or custody products is essential, particularly in settlement, FX, AML and multi-partner integration.

The role is based in central London with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

The contract will be for an initial six-month period on a daily rate inside IR35, paying up to £1,000 a day.
