Overview

At Smith & Brock, we’re not just in the business of fresh produce, we’re in the business of people, relationships, and responsibility. As a proudly family-run company, our values are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in quality without compromise, integrity in every interaction, and sustainability that safeguards the future.

We're looking for an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join us on a six-month fixed-term contract during a period of transition. This is a senior leadership role sitting within our management team and reporting directly to the Director. We are looking for someone who is experienced, immediately available, and ready to hit the ground running from day one. This is a senior leadership role sitting within our management team and reporting directly to the Director.

This is not a purely strategic position. We need someone who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and in the detail, someone who can hit the ground running, quickly build trust with the team, and give our Director the financial clarity and support needed to keep the business performing at pace.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
