We are working with an established Housing Association in the North West to recruit an experienced Interim Head of Finance during a period of change.

This is a senior, hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly get to grips with the organisation, provide stability and leadership across the finance function, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The Role

As Interim Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for a broad finance remit, including:

  • Leading and supporting the finance team through a period of change
  • Overseeing management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring the integrity of financial information
  • Providing high-quality financial insight to senior stakeholders
  • Business partnering with operational and corporate teams
  • Supporting financial planning and decision-making
  • Providing oversight across treasury and cash flow
  • Identifying areas for improvement across finance processes and reporting
  • Ensuring key financial deadlines and deliverables remain on track
  • Providing senior finance leadership and additional capacity where required

About You

We are looking for an experienced senior finance professional who can quickly establish themselves within an organisation and operate effectively in an interim capacity.

Previous experience working within a Housing Association or the wider Social Housing sector is essential.

You will ideally be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • An experienced Head of Finance, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent
  • Experienced within Social Housing finance
  • Comfortable managing a broad finance remit
  • Strong across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • An effective business partner who can work with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Able to provide leadership and stability during periods of change
  • Comfortable working at both a strategic and hands-on level
