Interim Head of Finance | Rapid Growth FinTech Scale-Up | London

The Client

Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, well-backed FinTech at an exciting stage of its journey. Having built real scale and a strong position in its market, the business is entering a pivotal new chapter, and finance has a central role to play in setting it up for the next phase of growth. It is a genuinely exciting time to join.

The Role

Reporting into the CFO, the Interim Head of Finance will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function through a busy period of growth and change. This is a hands-on leadership role first and foremost: the priority is to steady and lead the team, keep month-end, statutory and technical accounting running cleanly, and get up to speed quickly with a complex, industry-specific P&L. Alongside the operational core, you will assess and strengthen the team structure, drive process improvement across the function, and help the business get more out of its finance systems. Part of the brief is to free the CFO from the day-to-day so they can focus on the strategic agenda. This is an initial three-month interim with the potential to extend.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
