Interim Head of IT (initial 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Salary: £90,000 pro rata
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week onsite
We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of IT to provide leadership and continuity during a period of transition. This role will take ownership of the IT function, work closely with the outgoing Head of IT to ensure a smooth handover, and support the organisation in recruiting a permanent successor (they would be open to considering hiring on a permanent basis).
Leading a team of IT professionals, you will be responsible for maintaining stable, secure and effective IT operations while ensuring key technology and digital transformation initiatives continue to deliver value. The role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic oversight, stakeholder engagement and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the IT Services team through a period of transition.
- Ensure continuity across IT operations, infrastructure, service delivery and cyber security.
- Maintain momentum across ongoing digital transformation programmes.
- Provide strategic advice and updates to senior leadership.
- Review technology suppliers, contracts and budgets to ensure value for money.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of a permanent Head of IT.

About You
- Significant senior leadership experience within IT, Digital or Technology functions.
- Strong Microsoft technology background.
- Proven track record of leading IT operations and technology teams.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers and third-party contracts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience delivering technology change, transformation and governance initiatives.
